This trek is the most popular trek in Nepal.  Unlike those who brave the summit, you do not need to be a mountaineering expert to enjoy the Everest Base Camp Trek.

During the first part of the trek, Everest is hidden away behind the peaks of many other equally beautiful and formidable summits.  The grandeur of the world’s highest mountain is best appreciated at Gorak Shep. You can also view Everest’s spectacular summit around the lovely Namche Bazaar where you will spend time acclimatizing. Namche Bazaar is the commercial center of the Khumbu region and visiting here is a great way to see how people live high in the mountains.

At Tengboche, you will have an opportunity to visit a world famous monastery and gain an understanding of the lives of the Buddhist monks. Mountaineers who aim for Everest’s summit often stop here to ask for a blessing from the Lamas and to pray to the mountain deities for a safe journey.  This trek is difficult to explain in words and is an experience of a lifetime!
